不得不说，中国的日趋强大，体现在海外，很明显的就是学中文的老外越来越多了，政府也越来越重视中文。

而最近，澳洲政府甚至花费了近千万澳元，去开发一款专门让学前班学生学中文或日语的手机APP！

教育部长Simon Birmingham雄心勃勃：有了这款APP，从明年开始，再也没有什么可以阻挡澳洲人学中文的脚步了！

毕竟，政客们都知道，当澳洲与亚洲国家交流时，会说中文对于加强国家安全及商业团体活动是重要利器。

那么，整个墨尔本有哪些公立中小学有中文的语言项目呢？小微特地搜集了详细列表，很多华人孩子或许有各种办法学中文，不过如果你选的学校正好有课，那也是锦上添花的事儿。

2015年，维州中学和小学的第二语言学习的人数中，日语占18.5%，意大利语占18.3%，中文普通话占17.2%。

开展中文二外教学的学校也是增长最多的！一共有274所学校有中文教学项目，其中小学227所，中学56所，比2014年增加了52所。

更直观点，从2009年以来，最受欢迎的6大语种的学校数变化，橙色傲娇的更加明显了。不过总的来说，越来越多的学校开展第二语言项目，尤其是小学。

这是从2009年到2015年，6年来，每年学习中文的维州学生人数，2015年，一共有超过60000学生。

按区域来看的话，维州东北区学中文的中小学生最多，其次是东南区，如果只分东西的话，东边是西边的两倍。

中学12年级，选修中文的人数比例是所有语种中最高的。

2015年，维州中小学中文老师有230人，其中小学195人，中学35人。

大部分学校的中文课都在每周1小时左右，值得一提的是，墨尔本还有两所学校开展中文双语教学，Abbotsford Primary School、Richmond West Primary School都用中文普通话教授人文和数学，每周有9个小时的课程。
